Membership Credit Updates and Usage Rules

All Kimi membership features—Agent series, Deep Research, PPT, Docs, Sheets, Kimi Code, Kimi Work, Kimi Claw, and more—share a single credit pool. Credits are deducted based on actual token usage.

What is a shared credit pool?

Kimi membership features draw from the same credit pool and are deducted based on token usage. You can allocate your credits flexibly across features:

  • Agent series: website generation, document processing, PPT creation, spreadsheet processing, Deep Research, and more
  • Kimi Code: coding assistance for developers
  • Kimi Work: Kimi desktop app
  • Kimi Claw: a dedicated assistant that can be deployed with one click
  • Other membership benefits: image generation and more

Kimi Code shares the same credit pool as other membership features, but it also has a separate usage limit of 5 hours per week. This limit applies only to Kimi Code and does not affect other membership features.

K2.6: K2.6 in the chat entry point is free for all users and does not consume membership credits. When used as a K2.6 Agent in Kimi Work, it still consumes membership credits.

How are credits calculated?

Credit usage mainly depends on the amount of tokens consumed by the task. Tasks with longer input or output content will consume credits based on token usage.

For example, for free users:

  • Generating a simple PPT may consume 1–2% of the credit allowance
  • Running one Deep Research task may consume 5–10% of the credit allowance
  • Writing a piece of code may consume 0.5–2% of the credit allowance

Credit refresh rules

  • Credits for both monthly and annual memberships refresh monthly
  • Unused credits in the current period are automatically cleared when they expire; they do not roll over and cannot be converted to cash
  • A single conversation or task may be subject to concurrency limits of 5 hours and 7 days. Please refer to the on-page notice for the actual limit

When credits run out

  • Tasks already in progress can be completed as usual
  • New tasks will show an insufficient credit notice. You can:
    • Wait for credits to refresh automatically each month
    • Upgrade to a higher membership tier

How are membership credits updated?

  1. Refresh schedule: membership credits refresh monthly according to your subscription cycle, not by calendar month
  2. No accumulation: unused credits in the current period are cleared at the end of the cycle, and the full credit allowance is issued again
  3. Example: if Xiao Ming subscribes to Andante (¥49/month) at 15:00 on December 1, his credits will refresh at this time every month
