Kimi Browser Extension Product Introduction

Kimi Browser Extension, formerly Kimi WebBridge, is a browser extension built for AI agents. It can open pages, click buttons, fill out forms, and extract information, letting an agent handle tedious web tasks just like a person would. You can also break down frequently used websites into CLIs and turn recorded web operations into Skills for your agent to reuse.

Two ways to use

Kimi Browser Extension offers two ways to use it:

• Browser sidebar: Click the Kimi icon in the toolbar to open the sidebar, then sign in with your Kimi account to chat directly and let Kimi operate the current page for you.
• Remote control by a local Agent: Let AI agents like Kimi Work or Claude Code drive the extension remotely to automate web tasks.

Download and install

Step 1: Download the Kimi Browser Extension

You can download it in either of the following ways:

Option 1: Install from the browser store

• Chrome users: go to the Chrome Web Store
• Edge users: go to Edge Add-ons

Option 2: Install manually

If you cannot access the browser store for the time being, you can install it manually:

1. Go to the Kimi Browser Extension official website to download the extension installation package, and extract the downloaded file.
2. Enter the extensions page address in the browser address bar (Chrome: chrome://extensions/; Edge: edge://extensions/).
3. Turn on “Developer mode” (in the upper-right corner in Chrome, in the lower-left corner in Edge).
4. Click “Load unpacked”.
5. In the file selection window, select the extracted WebBridge folder.

After installation, you will see Kimi Browser Extension in your browser’s extension list. For easier access later, we recommend pinning it to the browser toolbar.

Step 2: Choose a Usage Method and Complete Setup

Option 1: Use with Kimi Work Desktop

1. Download Kimi Work from the official website

2. Open the downloaded Kimi Work Desktop app and switch to Work mode. Find and install Kimi Browser Extension in the plugin marketplace. Then try sending the instruction below in the browser sidebar or in Kimi Work:

Option 2: Use with a Local Agent

Supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Kimi Code, Hermes Claw, and more.

1. Send the following instruction directly in Agent to automatically complete the Kimi Browser Extension installation. Agent will run the appropriate installation process based on your operating system.
